Visit Vinnies is a mobile site that can be accessed from both desktop computers as well as mobile devices such as phone and tablets, which are projected to soon be the popular means of accessing the internet. As such, modern web design has to account for the mobile user, which is difficult due to the variety of devices available on the market.

As part of the company’s advocacy to give back to the local community, Osky Interactive has sponsored the website of Woden Valley Football, a leading club in the ACT that aims to bring the game to all ages and abilities.

Osky redesigned the Woden Valley Football website and gave it a fresh, modern look with a focus on usability. The back end was redeveloped in WordPress, making the task of content management much simpler for the site’s administrators. The new site also brings together Junior, Senior and Premier League under one umbrella for the first time, as they were in separate sites previously.

The sponsorship is a first for Osky, and through sponsorships such as this, Osky aims to provide support to local organisations by providing them relevant web solutions that will increase their online presence.

Osky Interactive recently formalised its partnership with Fat Zebra, an online gateway payment provider, to integrate Fat Zebra’s payment system into Osky’s e-commerce website projects. Fat Zebra was built as a simple way for merchants to accept credit card payments while still focusing on security, reliability and an excellent user experience.

Today more and more businesses are selling their products and services online. Businesses are increasing their interaction with consumers online – last year 59 percent of Australian small to medium businesses had accepted orders online from consumers. Also, more than 60 percent of adult internet users went online to purchase a good or service last year, compared to 53 percent the previous year.

Osky Launches Mobile Site for CEO Sleepout 2012

Adding to the success of CEO Sleepout 2012 where online donations exceeded the $5 million mark, Osky marked another milestone with the launch of the CEO Sleepout mobile website.

The site was a new development for the charity’s 2012 campaign and was a welcome addition as it allowed busy CEOs to access the site while on the go. In addition to being able to check their donation tallies anytime and anywhere, CEOs were also able to manage their profiles and interface with social media.

The mobile site is optimised for all smartphone platforms – including iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry – and allows secure mobile donations.

Osky Celebrates Record Breaking Year with Over $5m in Donations for 2012 CEO Sleepout

The just concluded Vinnies CEO Sleepout was a great success, and Osky is proud to have been part of the efforts to raise money for the homeless. Osky designed and developed the CEO Sleepout website for the second year in a row, and at the heart of the site is an online donation system that Osky created, raising $5 million this year and surpassing last year’s achievement.

Osky had their work cut out for them: the CEO Sleepout website’s task was to collect funds from several electronic payment gateways and deliver them to Vinnies, and Osky fulfilled the requirement by creating a powerful online donation system that made it simple and easy for people to donate.

Plans are underway to further enhance and improve the 2013 CEO Sleepout website.
