Set amongst rolling plains, legendary rivers and snow capped peaks, Cooma is the largest town in the Snowy Mountains region.
The Cooma Visitors Centre needed a website that successfully communicates the area’s beauty, hospitality and history. In addition, the functionality of the platform had to be accessible and easy to manage.
Visit Cooma contacted Osky Interactive with a request to refresh their website and modernise it in order to garner a greater level of region visitor and web user interaction and spreading word for upcoming community events in the area and to list for visitors all of the attractions, accommodations and features of the Cooma region.
The objectives were to promote the Cooma region and generate a larger user base and overall interest in the Visit Cooma website while demonstrating the breathtaking vistas, amazing attractions and the general warm, friendly and inviting feel of the Cooma region itself, all through the website and its appearance. Behind the attractive front-end we were to provide a simple and future proof content management system that will allow the Visit Cooma site to be maintained and updated in future without falling behind the times through stagnation.
To deliver a fresh and modern looking website that was vibrant and colourful, just like the Cooma region, and has an easy to use Content Management System that allows the Visit Cooma team to manage and maintain the website and its content on a regular basis. The website also needed to be inviting and friendly while displaying all information in an easy to read format that is readily navigable and simple for users to interact with.
Osky provided a WordPress powered CMS solution that allowed Visit Cooma to create, delete and manage all accommodation, business, event, news, attraction and various other listings and to have a greater ease of use in being able to maintain the website, with more flexibility and with more capabilities at their disposal.
