Art for Diabetes Research – An ADEA Initiative

Tuesday January 24, 2017

The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is an organisation that is dedicated to providing more information about diabetes. The organisation supports and helps people who have this life-long disease. Osky shares the same mission and vision with ADEA. We are in partnership because we believe that in working together, we enhance our influence and better spread our shared message of hope across.

We recognise and support ADEA’s core values of excellence and leadership. Formed in the 1980s, the organisation has raised the standard of diabetes education through their Credentialled Diabetes Educator ® program. Through this program the organisation has continually produced educators of the highest calibre.

Today, ADEA is continues to support research about this disease by giving out grants to researchers from Australian Universities. Multiple grants are funded to discover innovative methods to help those with diabetes lead healthier lives. A lot of the research efforts are focused on finding new treatment methods, and most specially discovering new ways to prevent the onset of this disease.

To help raise funds, they established the ADEA Art Union. People can support the noble efforts of ADEA by buying tickets to a lottery and a lucky winner will get to bring home the grand prize. More tickets purchase means more chances of winning. Nonetheless, winning is only secondary to the fact that by buying tickets, most of all you are contributing to the primary goal of diabetes research.

Further information of the ADEA Art Union Lottery and how you can help can be found on the website: https://adeaartunion.org.au.
