Yass Valley

  • Development

Yass Valley in New South Wales, Australia, is a prime tourist destination with its historical towns and villages and happening food and wine scene. It’s also teeming with art galleries, museums, boutique shops, and other intriguing spots. To boost tourism, Yass Valley required a website that would proffer all the necessary information for the curious traveler; accommodation, must-sees, must-dos, events, restaurants, and cafes.

Yass Valley sought help from Osky to create an online one-stop information centre about the destination. Osky delivered an engaging, user-friendly, and beautifully designed website packed with everything you need to know about the region. It’s visually appealing—the main carousel features crisp and clear photos, the grids are clean and streamlined, the navigation buttons eye-catching. The navigation is fast, seamless, and everything you need to know is searchable via categories or locations.

The brief

To provide Yass Valley with an engaging and interesting travel portal, and to make sure that it’s visually appealing and informative. The website to be needed packed with content—photos, event schedules, lists of hotels and restaurants—so the dev and design team had to ensure that the new Yass Valley website would not be clunky and cluttered with information. Organising data and presenting it in the most user-friendly way possible would be the key to the website’s success.

The outcome

Osky set forth to make the landing page visually arresting—for any tourism website, this is the key as first impressions go a long way. In addition, Osky implemented a targeted search function, built a news archive, and added functionality for the customer to easily post adverts and hot offers to the website.
